What is a Saudi e-Visa?

Saudi e-Visa is an electronic visa that allows travelers to enter and travel around Saudi Arabia. Applicants need only 15 to 20 minutes to apply. Travelers can visit Saudi Arabia for different purposes like roaming around tourist destinations, attending business events, getting together with friends and family, or performing Umrah. Travelers holding Saudi e-Visa can enter the country multiple times throughout the validity period. Validity is 1 year. Additionally, travelers can stay in the country continuously for 90 days.

Required Documents to get Saudi e-Visa

  • A scanned passport-style photo of the applicant

Visit the Saudi e-Visa official website. Find the application form and start filling out the application. Fill out your personal, passport, address, residence address in Saudi Arabia, and travel and employment information.

After this Upload your recent passport-style photo and your valid passport. Double-check the application form and ensure that it is error-free. Go to the declaration part, read, and tick on them. Make your final payment using your debit/credit card and click the Submit button.

How to get an Umrah e-Visa?

Applicants should meet additional requirements apart from essential requirements to get a Umrah e-Visa. Here is the list of additional requirements-

  • Only Muslim pilgrims from Portugal are allowed to apply for a Saudi Umrah e-Visa.
  • Pilgrims must carry a Meningitis Vaccination Record. Issued at least 10 days before and not more than three years before the trip to Saudi Arabia.
  • If the pilgrim from Portugal has converted to Islam but does not have a Muslim name, a document from a mosque or Islamic organization confirming their Muslim status is necessary.
  • Women and children must be accompanied by their husbands, fathers, or other male relatives, called Mahram. A birth certificate of the kid that lists both parents' names or a marriage certificate for a woman is needed. Also, to enter and exit Saudi Arabia, the Mahram must board the same airplane as his wife and kids.
  • A woman over the age of 45 must get an official document from her Mahram approving her to travel with the specified group.

Travel insurance for all e-Visa holders

  • Coverage- Includes emergency medical care, hospitalization, and other services.
  • Providers - KSA-approved insurance companies.
  • About the Claim- Instructions will be included in the insurance document. You will receive the insurance document along with your approved Saudi e-Visa.
  • Exclusions - They are also specified in the document: pre-existing conditions, non-emergency situations, problems induced by overdoing something, etc.
